While still quite new, Swtor is old adequate to have matured significantly since it's issue in December 2011. This means the annoying bugs, and annoying people, are now gone. The players that remain are dedicated and welcoming to all newcomers.

The Old Republic is massive, with dozens of planets to seek and space combat mini games. That part is unfortunately not as fleshed out as many had hoped. Still, even with that minor downside there is a whole lot to like about this game.

You get to pick from 8 distinct character classes. You can pick to be fight for the Republic or the Empire. If you ever wanted to be a Jedi or a Sith and dance nearby with a lightsaber, slashing creatures left and right then this is most surely the game for you. Once you reach Level 10, you will be able to specialize into one of 16 industrialized classes. The option of industrialized class you get depends on what your customary character class option was.

Depending on if you start a new game as the Empire or the Republic you will start on a distinct planet with a distinct set of powers and abilities. Whichever side you pick you will have a blast exploring this gigantic and perilous world. You will never look at Mmos the same way ever again after you have played a few hours of Star Wars: The Old Republic.
